Investment Returns By Asset Class For 2017

Use whatever S&P index fund or benchmark you want. For my research I used a mix of Vanguard and BlackRock iShares ETFs (performance from Morningstar).

So you know most people had a pretty good year. If you had a classic stock bond portfolio I would assume most people earned upwards of 15%. If you’re younger like myself.. probably even higher. I know a lot of young people who strictly invest in the S&P and blue chip (tech) stocks, so you know lots of people probably killed it. That’s without talking about crypto currencies.

2017 was a pretty good year for stocks. However, as you’ve seen in my previous post, most people (including myself) expect stocks to do even better in 2018 due to the tax reform. So I’m pretty bullish. I want to hear your returns for the year, how old you are, and what your risk appetite is. I’m just really excited to see what 2018 brings us in the investment world. All right take care everyone.
